The Johnson Partnership was formed on 1st July 1990 and since then has grown to be one of the largest criminal law firm in England and Wales. Of the 10 people who walked through the door on the first morning four remain, even though one is currently on sabbatical. Bill, Chris and Digby remain as partners but they have been joined by the fourth first day member Emma Eardley who on the 1st July 1990 was our office junior. Since 1990 The Johnson Partnership has attracted more than its fair share of media exposure. In 2002 the partnership was the centre piece of the major channel 4 documentary series “Partners in Crime”. Our high profile cases and unusual working arrangements mean that we’re never far from the public eye. I was represented by this legal team at the police station during one of the most stressful, daunting and worrying times of my life. I was represented by Shaun O'Brian, and I have received excellent counsel from him during the last six months. Very clear and concise advice given, and I felt totally supported along the way. Always ready to answer emails and phone calls when needed, and was really helpful in advising me of the best course of action. I like that he was very honest and supportive from the beginning, and all the way through the proceedings.

Went to some effort to ensure the legal aid was in place, but feel now it is that there's little interest in my case. Pretty sure that there's been zero effort to gather any evidence regarding mitigating factors for my sentencing hearing next week and then haven't had any discussions regarding pleas or preparation for the outstanding charge. Essentially feel in a bind as can't afford a lawyer that doesn't take legal aid, but think as a result I'm getting a bare minimum service.

Most cases begin with an arrest or interview by the police. If you are going to be interviewed you should always have a solicitor with you. It is free so you won't have to pay anything, and with our specialist team of police station advisors we can make sure you receive the best advice, whatever time of day or night. If the police believe that you have committed a crime then you may be charged and have to attend court. We have a dedicated team of solicitors who can represent you in court and advise you about the best course of action. Our advice is always personalised to you, to what is best in your individual situation. We will make sure that we explain everything clearly and help you to make the right decisions about how your case should go forward. Although the majority of cases are dealt with in the Magistrates Court some cases go to the Crown Court.
