I dealt with Caitlin following an employment issue.

Caitlin was exceptional from start to finish.

She went over and above to support me and the communication which I received was both timely and professional.

Caitlin’s communication to my employer was exactly what was needed and she went over and above to support.

I would strongly recommend using both Caitlin and Berry Smith for anyone with an employment matter.

Worse solicitors to go to. No stars AVOID.

Berrysmith solicitors are the worse solicitors to ever go to and put your trust in. After three years of sheer incompetence they left me not even taking my case to court. My premises completely ruined after three years of vermin infestation and winter floods. They cost me my business. AVOID THIS FIRM, they are completely useless.

Excellent Service

I think Caitlin Rees is Berry Smith's secret weapon! Caitlin first took our call and gave helpful advice without us incurring immediate costs and she built our trust to the extent where we now see Caitlin as being of our team and supporting us against huge pressures which made Covid-19 seem quite simple. Michael Shutt was also brilliant and his approach was equally supportive and with no one from Berry Smith patronising us at any time and all taking their time to make us feel supported. We are now on a retainer once again with Berry Smith and this will save significant fees moving forwards in the future which will help manage our costs and financial pressures caused by the Pandemic. Caitlin responded usually within a very short space of time and she also managed our expectations in advance by stating when she was likely to be delayed in responding due to other client needs and we always felt that we were her top priority. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Prompt and Professional

Clear straightforward advice from first contact which explained what was required to take the next step.
Prompt replies to all email contact with my solicitor Caitlin Rees who kept me updated at every step.
Outstanding knowledge of Employment law resulted in my final settlement amount being more than I had originally anticipated.
This was also achieved during the Covid lockdown so didn't even have to leave the house

Expensive firm with bad attitude

By far the worst firm of solicitors I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Appointment was if no value whatsoever with two letters received one saying thank you for instructing us the other advising to call them if they were required to be instructed. Fortunately even they eventually recognised how awful they were by agreeing to refund the entire fee (after months of protest not to). Also, very high rates compared to other firms.
