Sarah Coleman was amazing

We instructed Sarah on what started out to be a simple transaction, but over time the matter became more complicated. Sarah was amazing throughout. She provided regular updates and always kept us in the loop. We love our new home and could not have done this process without Sarah’s help and assistance.

RIP OFF SOLICTORS

I turned to Elliot Mather Solicitors for help as I had loaned a large amount of money out. I asked sarah packer if it would be worth me going to court, to which she said we keep £700 in a holding account so we take our fees from that and whatever is left over you get back after the court hearing. This gave me the impression that I would spend no more than £700 on solicitor fees and that it would infact be worth proceeding with. Within a few weeks the £700 had ran out and I got a letter saying to pay another £300 through the post. I paid it as I was half way through the court proceedings and I felt as if I was over a barrel. Then I got another £300 invoice through the door which was the barrister fees. I paid it again as I knew i would need a barrister. I then got another £300 invoice through the post which I wasn’t happy about! I had already paid £1350 which then made me at a loss. Sarah never made me aware that it would cost this much at the consultation for a very simple case. She made it seem as if it was worth my time and money going to court in order to get the outstanding debt paid back. After I got the £300 invoice, I spoke to Sarah Packer on the phone and said I can’t afford to keep paying hundreds of pounds out as i would never get that money back. I made it clear i would pay the final £300 invoice as i’ve come so far with the court case however I couldn’t afford anything else after that. Since the court hearing i’ve had several invoices sent to me even though I asked for the service to be stopped. I’ve emailed to explain that I did say on the phone to sarah that I couldn’t keep afford anymore charges and the £300 payment was to be the last final payment. I received an email back to say I had to pay it regardless. I then sent an email to complain about the service I had received to which I didn’t get any response from the company or sarah packer.

Don't waste your money with this firm

Absolutely useless, we got more help and information from our Barrister in just half an hour than we did from Sarah packer and was charged over £2000 for the privilege. We was originally quoted no more than £700 so was totally ripped off. I wouldn't use this firm again. Advice is non-existent while the charges keep coming. Avoid dont waste your hard earned money.
