First Time Buyer

Joanne was very personable. I experienced dealing with a challenging vendor, Joanne gave honest advice throughout the process. As a first time buyer I felt reassured and was confident the solicitor was supportive and knowledgable to guide me through to purchase my first home, this process was unknown and new for me. I would certainly recommend Adkirk Law.

Good although error made on completion due to miscalculation- caused some unnecessary stress and no follow up on this afterwards to explain how this error was made

Exemplary Service

After five years, we finally got around to making a will. We wanted to leave as much as we could to our beneficiaries. And Hannah explained all the different scenarios that were relevant to us. She even introduced possibilities that we hadn't thought of, we were very impressed.
Hannah walked us through the document And clearly Pointed out anything we didn't understand.
It took us a few months to complete the will. But this was more because of us rather than her..
I would recommend Hannah for your wills.

Lack of communication, slow responses until the end of the process, mistakes from those that don’t matter to huge like a wrong Sale Price in the contract, names - these are just few problems encountered during the sale.
The night before I was asked for bank details to where I could get the proceeds of the sale although my proceeds were going to other solicitors for the ongoing purchase.
We got there at the end and the delays were probably down to other factors but I had to triple-check everything and ask other solicitors, agents, etc for advice when I should have just been able to ask my solicitors.
They also dropped me as a client for a purchase stage by sending an email ‘due to their policy’. I understand their policy but would have appreciated a phone call and further explanation. This made me really upset, fortunately I easily found other solicitors who didn’t have company policies against people from certain countries and could work with them. If it was up to me I wouldn’t continue working with Adkirk, I wouldn’t even choose them in the first place based on their Google Review ranking.

The worst service ever. You can't call them or get anything answered. Our house was sold 6 and a half months ago and this company still haven't answered our buyers solicitors in months.

The sellers are now saying they may pull out and are so angry.

With no end in sight, we must look for another solicitor.

About this branch

Description

Rachel and Linda met in 2010 when working at Stephensons Solicitors. They recognised in each other an integrity and work ethic that ultimately led them to making this big decision to open their own Law Firm together. They both believe that clients deserve the best possible service from their solicitors at all times and that can be no excuse for poor service. Their reputation in their respective fields is a tribute to this. They are both honest, hardworking lawyers with a flair for clear thinking.
