at the start willie came across as friendly that quickly changed . it was as if i was a problem phoning he became unfriendly. but the worst thing was one member of his staff ann smart she was hard to talk to it was like she didnt want to speak and also the wrong person to answer the phone because when asking questions she didnt understand and then became horrible. i went to willie because he was cheaper big big mistake do yourself a big favour dont go to them.

I am glad to read other reviews stating how rude, unprofessional and lazy this man is. He does indeed hang up mid-way through calls (not making this up, someone else pointed it out too). His tone is insanely nasty on the phone. His reception do not generally know what they are doing - during one call they made an appointment for me and then at the end told me "actually he is not in on that day now I think about it". They forget your name, your enquiry, it is as if you can tell them one hundred times and they will still be "so what is this about?" Avoid this "business" and look elsewhere.

Mr MacGregor helped us move house. Nothing was too much trouble. Superb service. Took all our calls, communication was very clear. Mr MacGregor and his staff were very helpful, friendly and always had a smile on their face.

Absolutely has to be the worst solicitor on the planet. Partner and I recently bought a house and had to use William mcgregor as the solicitor, he took weeks to reply to messages and when he did they were 3 word messages. Sometimes even when he did send a higher worded email he would write it all in capital letters. Very lazy and unprofessional, I can understand now why he has such low reviews online. Will be warning anyone to stay clear of this horrible form.

A catalogue of errors that had a major impact on us. We received papers to sign with other people’s names and addresses on. We had a wrong entry date in the missives which meant a rushed trip to the office to hand in new papers in time for the transaction to take place. On the date of the transaction we constantly had to chase him and finally got our keys at 4.30pm on a Friday!

After the sale concluded we were advised by email and letter that the legal fees, mortgage had been settled, and the estate agent fees paid.

Two weeks later we had the estate agent chasing us for £3000 As it turned out they hadn’t been paid. Our lawyers response “you didn’t instruct me to pay the fees”. Never have I had to pay an estate agent for any house sale. This has always been part of the instruction. Even the estate agent agreed he has never encountered this. By all means, use this solicitor, however, if you Don’t want to be stressed during the transaction I’d suggest going elsewhere!
