A deceased’s estate.
An elderly aunt died and left a property to be sold and a straight forward will. We’ve been waiting nearly a year for this to be sorted and settled. Still waiting!

I can only say this company are appalling. Delayed probate application and mistakes made on their behalf, but not admitting. Using the blame game. Unscrupulous fee charging amounts for a poor handling of estate.

My parents did a separation of tenancy and a trust will with this company 2 years ago. They were charged over £1700 which seems to be about double the going rate. However they were in their 80s so would be considered fair game. When my father died we asked for a quick chat with someone to decipher the obscure Victorian English they had written and they wanted another £300+ to do this.

Used this solicitor during divorce and dealing with subsequent child arrangements- totally money grabbing-charging me even to just read and answer a quick email!
Felt like they didnt care about my situation and just viewed me as a walking cash machine.
Think he thought I was making an OK living and thought I should just relent and go along with whatever my ex-wife demanded as he just seemed to want a quiet life while he carried on charging me a fortune.
Came out of the divorce with only 25 percent of the joint assets but 80 percent of the debt. Also didnt get me the best result when it came to custody of my children.
Could go on and on but suffice to say he didnt fully explain several important things to me at the time and ommited to mention others.
When I questioned him about several aspects I wasnt happy with he became very defensive and quite rude and ultimately I ended up just going along with what he said as he was charging me so much money I just wanted to put and end to it(his bills that is).
I look back and think I got a very bad deal out of it.
I didnt feel that their overall bill justified the amount of work they did. They were never pro-active as I was always having to chase them up.
