Discretionary Settlement

This took a long time to resolve due to unforeseen circumstances, these were resolved in a professional way by utilising external experts. Although it took longer than at first thought to reach a conclusion, I was kept very well informed throughout and was regularly involved in decision making to move the process forward. I feel that my opinion was valued and respected so that I was very involved in the process. Dreadful company- treated like a second class citizen

I was going through a divorce and was pressurised by my estranged husband to use Shacklocks to deal with the sale of our house as he was using them for the divorce. I was not treated as an equal to my husband and not kept informed properly. I was treated very rudely by a senior male employee who was overseeing the work. When it came to the final bill, it was not until the money had already been subtracted from my half share of the proceeds of the sale of the house that I discovered that there were more expenses than I had been told about.
