NO MORE TILLY BAILEY &IRVINE!!!

Solicitor R.L. did not inform me about the remortgage process and due to my lack of knowledge I was close to paying almost £960 due to early payment. One day!!! But this lady was not impressed and instead of giving me advice to avoid unnecessary fees - she asked me to pay the above amount.

The mortgage service consultant (Allen & Harris) mentioned that I would have to pay around £450 for the solicitor's service. He also mentioned a small additional cost....
The bill I received from the solicitor had 17 items(!!!!) and it ended in £1369.30(!!!!)
Even the Mortgage Service Consultant could not recognise a large part of the items listed on the bill.
In my opinion this is a total rip off!
My advice - if you are looking for a solicitor avoid them at all costs.

We were supported throughout the process and they have made it easy for us. Our solicitor Danielle Gardner is amazing and has been very patient with us who do not fully understand the process. I cannot find the words to express how truly fabulous Jessica Garthwaite was in everything she did in order for the sale of my home to go through as swiftly as possible. There were a few trying circumstances which made me feel completely lost and to be honest, at my wits ends but Jessica was professional, patient, and so incredibly kind. I am now hoping to purchase my next home and there is no one else I would rather use. She has got my confidence.

Tilly Bailey & Irvine have been an awful company to use in the sale of my house. Communication is horrendous, they do not communicate with each other, and never answer the phone. I was recommended these by my estate agent as things would be quicker and smoother and all they have done is cause delays and unnecessary stress. The initial paperwork has been returned 3 times electronically and also via recorded post, which cost us a small fortune and they never mentioned that it needed to be posted in the first place causing further delays. Despite the fact I can see when the post was signed for by the company via RM tracking, they claim it did not arrive till a week later and is still incorrect. They have know set me a 37 page form to print off which I am obviously not going to do. I have requested they post this form out to me, but I wont hold my breath. The boy they have assigned to my case also has a dreadful attitude while on the phone and via emails. I am too scared of losing my buyer to stop working with these solicitors as months have now passed, but I would never use this firm again nor would I recommend anyone else does.
