I made contact with Thursfields in October'23 to help me with Divorce mediation and prevent court proceedings. Right from my very first meeting with Abi Holden, she commenced dealing with my case immediately and my worries dispersed. She was totally professional throughout and provided me with crystal clear advice and guidance. Responses to questions and emails were dealt with sameday or within 24 hours. Sent our Wills to the wrong address!

We engaged this firm to write our WILLS and LPAs. Bearing in mind we provided current I .D including our address of 9 years at time of engagement, they sent the draft documents to our former address we left in 2006!
We haven’t complained as it was a genuine error I suppose, or sloppy work, however we are entitled to review our experience and comment for public knowledge. We would not use them again.

SHOCKING LEGAL ADVICE

We engaged this solicitor to handle a business negotiation. A junior paralegal was put on the case and negotiations did not follow our instruction. As a result, it cost us considerable time and effort to go to court and negotiate the case ourselves which resulted in us winning the case and being awarded costs. This could have been avoided if they had given good legal representation and negotiation with the third party.

I have previously used Thursfields Solicitors, Kidderminster in relation to wills, power of attorney and conveyancing. The firm provides an excellent service and this proved again to be the case when they handled the conveyancing of my elderly mother's home on my behalf during the summer and autumn 2023. Ms Rebecca Cox who dealt with the matter was efficient, courteous and patient, promptly responding to telephone enquiries, readily making herself available to deal with in person visits to the offices and maintaining a smooth simple to understand e-mail correspondence with the buyer's solicitors, estate agent and myself. I appreciated that although no doubt a comparatively straight forward transaction she was knowledgeable and always up to date with matters. The reception staff were equally approachable and helpful, even when functioning under the adverse conditions of major building work at the Kidderminster branch. I would recommend the firm and intend to continue using their services

We asked Thursfields Kidderminster to administer my mom's estate after we had 2 very good experiences with Thursfields Sedgley for the same thing, unfortunately this office shut down. We originally met with Cerith who estimated 4-6 K to administer the "fairly straitforward estate". Unfortunately for us he went on to be promoted to Partner so our affairs were passed to another Solicitor. She immediately started to increase the estimated cost for a "Complex estate" however we had already accepted to use them. Then after a few months the estimate was 7-8K then 9-10K we are now at 13.5K and still not finished. We have also had to hire the services of an accountant as recommended by her for tax purposes. I have informed them after receiving our latest bill that we will be making an official complaint and if necessary going to the Legal Ombudsman.

Over the past 9 months Abi Holden in the family law team has been helping me get through my divorce. She was really attentive throughout the process, very responsive and always willing to take a call. She was super organised and always actioned everything as soon as possible. Zoe Perry has been dealing with a Will/Trust fund (Thursfields have dealt with it for 30 years) I notified her about my new details twice, yet when the trustees moved to a new solicitor 2 years ago, she never let me know. They are also refusing to give me any information, saying I’m not mentioned in the Will/Trust, which I’ve sent them photographic proof that I’m a beneficiary. I’ve recently found out from the new solicitor’s that Zoe Perry didn’t send my details to them in the files - outrageous. I’m reporting them to the SRA.

Had to sell my dad's house due to going into a care home. Rebecca Cox at Kidderminster branch was fantastic. Rebecca is so helpful and professional and nothing is too much trouble.
