Zero empathy or kindness

At a time when what I needed most was some understanding, Joni was unhelpful, blunt and actually seemed to stop caring or fighting for me at a critical point of my case. I begged him for help and his lack of interest resulted in me receiving less than half of what he originally said I should receive. I was then forced to pay interest on his final fee even though I hadn’t received the settlement figure yet. I am in shock at how badly I was treated, I do not recommend this company.

Hi Jennifer thank you for your feedback. We take all feedback onboard and are sorry you feel this way. It was however, explained to you at the outset that when parties are negotiating a settlement one party will start with a low offer whilst the other would start with a high offer and that a settlement is likely to be reached between the two figures. It was made clear to you that our starting high offer was unlikely to be accepted. Each subsequent offer was discussed with you and approved by you. Ultimately, you decided to accept an offer which was in excess of your actual financial loss and more than you would have likely been awarded following a Tribunal Hearing, which is an excellent result. We also have to account of the merits of the case whilst balancing out the additional costs to you, and this is not based on a lack of interest but on the practicalities of the case. Had you continued with the matter the disbursements fees would have made it less cost effective and you would have ultimately received a much lower amount, which would not have been in your best interests. In terms of interest being charged on late payment of our fees, this is standard practice, in this and many other industries, and is clearly set out in our terms of business which you agreed to prior to us commencing work on your file. Despite receiving a substantial settlement, you requested to defer payment of our fees until September 2024 (4 months) and asked for no interest to be charged. Unfortunately, we were not in a position to agree to your request.

Professional and honest

I have been with Mr Fredericks for almost 9 months. Lengthy documents for the case. He had gone through everything with necessary clarifications. Quick communication with necessary and honest advice. Replies even after late evening and even nights to quicken process. Later with expenditures mounting, changed plan to 'No win no pay' basis which was very helpful and much appreciated.
