Like many people, making a will was always something I knew I needed to do,but always put it off. As well as admitting and facing my own mortality,I assumed it would be so complicated with lots of "legalese" language I didn't understand. But,as another year passed and October (Free will month) approached,I decided to "go for it". After an internet search of local participating solicitors,I found Probate Solicitors (Knowle) and contacted them. An appointment was made and forms posted. First hurdle cleared. After filling in and returning minimal forms and with pre prepared paperwork,I attended the appointment. My first impressions were very good as the basics were explained professionally, clearly (in laymans language) and in a friendly manner. My wishes were noted sympathetically and initial questions answered satisfactorily. Yes,there is legal language, there has to be as that's how the system works, but the solicitors are used to dealing with and helping people who don't understand and explain. I felt completely at ease. A draft was prepared for approval and after "Okaying" it,a 2nd appointment was made for signing, witnessing and into safe storage. "Job done",painless and simpler than I ever imagined. I feel the ongoing "after sales" service will continue as later previously unthought of questions are also answered. So in a nutshell,Probate Solicitors (Ellie in particular) dealt with my requests to my total satisfaction and I'm confident my (last) wishes will be carried out with complete professionalism, respect and with minimum stress/maximum smoothness to beneficiaries. I can now relax with this "weight off my mind". A cliche but true. I would wholeheartedly recommend PSL to anyone who's been putting this off like I did. "Do it!'.
