My enquiry stemmed from a difficulty raised by a company with whom my mother has more than one a shareholding registered in different names and seeking to combine all her certificates. The solution was to draft a Statutory Declaration and submit it with other public documents which was fully and clearly discussed and explained. It will hopefully resolve the issue which has only arisen in one out of 19 shareholdings I have had to analyse and consider for my mother in the last 3 months.

You acted on my behalf in purchasing my newly constructed apartment in 2018. Your solicitor worked part time so I handed my agreement made with the selling agent for two side by side parking spaces to her young assistant. Eventually, I was allocated two parking spaces, one car behind the other which at age 80 is far from ideal. No way was the situation amendable by the sellers solicitors. They had never received the original parking agreement! When I approached my solicitor she denied all knowledge but while I watched she found it in her file and admitted she had never seen it before! Never ever use a part time working solicitor. It’s impossible for anyone to maintain the different details of the many properties they have in their client list on their memories if they have to catch up on many properties working intermittently or return to their office and find the intern is away when they return or has left with no handover as they weren’t present. I was furious!
