Conveyancing case - do not use
Very poor service and communication from the outset.
Conveyancing case. First time buyer with mortgage agreed, buying a vacant property from a developer. No chain, should have been simplest transaction in the world to complete.
Began with initial delay in them sending me the initial paperwork as apparently they couldn't send it until they'd spoken to me to verify my email address (never mind the fact that they'd already emailed me with the details for the online portal, and they would have been able to see I'd received that and logged in). But to do this they made one phone call attempt, left no message, made no attempt to send sms/whatsapp, and then left it. Wasn't until i called in two weeks later to query why I'd not heard from them that they finally sent it to me.
Then a further delay as i accidently missed one tick-box in the mountain of forms to fill in, but they didn't think to actually contact me to let me know. Again, was only resolved when i called in to chase them up 2 weeks later.
Then a further delay when my case handler went on leave, which is fair enough in itself, but with no alternative case handler assigned to work on her cases while she was on honeymoon, so the file was left totally dormant for another few weeks.
All told it was 7-8 weeks from being instructed until they'd even notified the vendors solicitors that they were acting and raised any queries. Even when the queries were returned they sat on it for weeks without looking, and then lied about when they received them (i saw the responses the vendor sent and the date on them was approx 3 weeks earlier than the date MLM claimed to have received it).
Emails not replied to, calls not returned, nothing but frustration.
Eventually got the job done, but what should have been a quick and simple 8 week purchase ended up taking over twice that.
