DO NOT USE - UNPROFESSIONAL

I'm surprised by the high rating, especially given the much lower reviews on Trustpilot and Facebook. In hindsight, I wish I had checked those platforms before using this service. Unfortunately, my experience didn't meet my expectations, as they missed the completion deadline for myself, which set me back by three months. I also found it challenging to reach them by phone. I hope they can improve their communication and service standards moving forward but I doubt they will. I have used other solicitors in my other purchases and believe me the process was really good in comparison to BRM Legal

Unprofessional Service – Case Abandoned Midway with Extra Costs

I'm extremely disappointed with the way my case was handled. After paying for searches and ID checks, I expected the solicitors to see the process through to completion. Instead, they abandoned my case halfway, leaving me with unexpected costs to start over with new solicitors. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Home legal direct paneled my house purchase and sale to one of their panel solicitors, BRM legal, the quality of service received for my sale and purchase has been poor an reactive.

Seemed like they would be a ok solicitors based on reviews on Google being over 4 stars and the firm have a prestigious address on Coleman Row. I believe most of the 5 stars reviews for BRM legal are made by people connected to BRM.

Communication with BRM Legal has been a major issue. Calls frequently go unanswered, emails are only partially addressed, and updates on their client portal are rare. This lack of transparency and responsiveness has left me managing much of the process on my own—coordinating with estate agents, following up repeatedly, and re-sending documents that BRM Legal either ignored or or forgotten ( shows level of understanding on the cases their handle).

Adding to my concerns, I suspect that parts of my case are being handled offshore, possibly in Pakistan or other overseas locations. After checking solicitor registries, it appears that only one of the individuals working on my file is a registered solicitor in the UK. This offshore handling has raised questions about the quality of service and attention to detail, as well as the security of my personal information.

I have had so many different people handle my case and even a solicitor that is registered to a different solicitors firm in Sutton Coldfield.

I am also seriously concerned that BRM Legal will not complete my transactions by the scheduled date of December 2nd. Despite starting my purchase in August and sale in September, their lack of urgency and poor communication have made it difficult to have any confidence that they will meet this deadline.

Lastly, there was a significant breach of my personal data on November 8th. Another BRM client was mistakenly given my contact details by BRM staff and contacted me directly to complain about BRM’s service. When I reported this incident to BRM’s leadership, their response was dismissive, and they discouraged me from reporting the data breach to the SRA or ICO, offering only a brief apology without addressing how they would prevent similar breaches in the future.

On 11th November, the solicitor sent me a docusign link to contract that was not mine, it related to another sale that BRM legal were instructed on. I highlighted the second breach to the executive leadership person and their response was was short "I have checked with relevant solicitor and they say they have sent you an updated contract to be signed." No understanding or care around the seriousness of what I had reported.

Worst solicitors I have ever used, I urge you to use someone else. Also their registered office on Coleman Row is a flexible office space they use a couple of times per week and only by 2-4 people. Their true offices are in Walsgrave Road Coventry.

Awful, I’m a first time buyer so I’ve been quite apprehensive to get the process sorted. However BRM have taken £350 from me, I’ve been trying to get into contact with them for weeks but the phone numbers aren’t valid, I’ve been emailing with no response and overall haven’t got anywhere.

Those positive reviews that you are seeing with 5 stars are from the workers themselves because this company deserves a -5. First I was assigned to Haleema then without an explanation, my case was reassigned to Saad, and then everything went downhill from there. At one point I had to be wondering if he is a solicitor or just an assistant. As a first-time buyer, I wanted clarity but nothing was explained. I had to be the messenger between two parties just to get the ball rolling. I had to call him to find out what was going on. It was his lack of communication and deceit that gave them that score. he stopped taking my calls after a while and would send emails saying that he is in a meeting. Not to mention The level of unprofessionalism was insufferable. He would forward other people's emails to me - an entire conversation with them with their details in that email. Don't take the chance with them. It is not worth it

Me and my partner are currently using these solicitors to purchase a property. The process has been absolutely terrible from the start, we are now a good 15 of weeks into the process and there is no sign of it being completed. We are getting little to no communication from this firm and when we do all we get is they are ‘waiting on the sellers solicitors to send them documents’ when clearly that’s not the case. Also our solicitor for the job has changed multiple times to other people that aren’t even registered as solicitors, let alone registered to that company. Buying a home is stressful and these solicitors are just adding to the pressure. We started this process at the middle of the year and we have no clue up to this point when we will be in that house. Clearly this company is out sourcing its work to other companies potentially not even in the same country. I would avoid using this firm at all costs, I highly do not recommend
