Don't burden yourself

This company has been supposedly looking after the sale of my late mothers house when it was called Butterworths solicitors and now Bridgeview Law. I have been trying to have some form of dialogue be it by leaving messages daily for call backs and emails to no avail.

The odd times i have had someone contact me it was rather pointless, i requested to serve a notice on a buyer of a property which they failed to do. I was further contacted by the auction team as way of an apology and when the notice was served I have not heard anything back after countless messages and emails.

I would advise if selling via auction you appoint your own solicitors as my experience with these is nothing short of diabolical, i would give zero stars if possible.

Terrible communication

I am in the process of selling my property completion day in 5 days, I have tried to contact Bridgewater numerous times and noone ever calls you back I have no clue what is happening with the sale and very much doubt it will be completed ontime. I will be complaining to the SRA this is unacceptable.

Zero communication, delays causing me frustration and costing me money.
Only given one star because I can't give them none.

Cheryl gray is amazing

Selling home is never easy! I found it even harder this time as it was my childhood home- so many memories. I talked with Cheryl Gray and got very emotional , she took the time to listen and empathize. it was a little thing but it meant so much to me for her to understand how i was feeling and give me sound advise and support .

Avoid at any cost, please

Over two weeks of uncertainty with no clear explanation why auction
sale of our property is not going ahead. We vacated our property expecting hassle free and sleek process and it is becoming a nightmare. We are in New Zealand where we moved to work but now we may have to come back with my wife and kids to the UK as we cannot proceed with anything because we are waiting for the money from the sale. The buyer can pull out at any point now because of Bridgeview law negligence, leaving me with spiralling costs (storage, insurance of an empty property, getting lower offer, and costs of moving back from New Zealand). I do not know why they are doing this... How can you be that indifferent and careless. Do they realise that they can ruin people's live?
This is my first negative review I have left in my life. I have asked Pattinsons to stop recommending them as well. Please avoid do not let Bridgeview law make your live a nightmare

Unprofessional and awful

Passed the completion day by a week now. No contact over the last 5 days despite me ringing and emailing every day and getting no further forward the switchboard. Need this sale to go through, buyer’s solicitor is also waiting for them to complete. Pattinsons advised these and it’s one of the most unprofessional solicitors I have ever encountered. If not finished asap, I will register my concerns with the Legal Ombudsman.

Awful

I receive no response to queries, no way to contact them directly.
My solicitor and I have never spoken and due to errors they made, contracts are still not exchanged, although I was initially given a date of 4 weeks ago
I am spending so long on the phone trying to sort out paperwork that they should be organising, that I am considering sending them an invoice.
I have complained to the Law Society who recommended I sent Bridgeview an official letter of complaint but as yet, I have received no response
Wish I had read the reviews before employing them

Shocking level of service - do not use this company

Butterworths (now Bridgeview Law) were recommended by Pattinsons Actioneers as they were dealing with the sale of my mothers house, necessitated by needing to pay for her care home fees. Bridgeview failed to respond to weeks of emails and after phoning countless times, recevied one call back. The actual completion was three weeks later than the agree date, with little or no updates, depsite constant phone calls and emails. The date of completion was very time critical due to payment needed to be made for Mums care, but despite them being aware of this, completely ignored requests for info and replies to emails.
A very very stressful experience - never to be used again.
