Excellent Service in spite of a challenging Conveyancing process

Shilpav at BWT Law went above and beyond to provide excellent service to us throughout what was a stressful and challenging conveyancing process, largely due to issues with our buyer's solicitor. He anticipated issues and proactively took steps to ensure we met our exchange and completion deadlines, going the extra mile to chase down outstanding communications and documents in relation to our purchase. He was pleasant to deal with and a safe pair of hands for our legal needs. I would recommend him to anyone going through a house purchase / sale.

Shocking service

Shilpav was recommended to me through my broker. I cannot begin to describe how incompetent, unprofessional and unknowledgeable this man is.

Never once did he make contact with me even when he stated he would, I would have to chase him up continuously to which he would always be ‘away from his desk’. When he would contact me it would be after 5pm on a Friday just as the office closes for the weekend so I wouldn’t be able to contact him until the following Monday. When I asked for updates he would constantly state ‘still waiting for the other side’ and would never chase for updates or to push the process along, was happy for the process to drag out and had no sense of urgency at all.

When it came to paying Shilpav (the only time he showed abit of urgency) he tried to overcharge me £14,000. When I raised this with him, he just stated ‘sorry for the oversight’. Appalling.

When I moved into the property the sellers had caused significant amounts of damage to the property and removed items they stated they would leave in the fixtures and fittings list, Shilpav just stated ‘well they seem like the sort of people who won’t put right the issue, it is what it is’ and refused to raise any issues with this, more than happy to let it go.

I’ve been moved into the property for over a month now and still am not the registered keeper of the property with the management company, as Shilpav hasn’t bothered to get it done.

I would warn you to steer clear of BWT law, biggest waist of money, caused nothing but unnecessary stress. Absolutely appalling service and should not be in business.
