First class! Advice we received throughout the process was helpful and timely. Whenever we had a query, emails were answered in a timely manner. Becky (Grimsey) was thorough and professional - she raised a couple of questions that could have been problematic in the future had she not been so thorough. I instructed Jackamans for the sale of my property as they were recommended by my estate agents and I would highly recommend them. I liaised with Becky Grimsey and Jayne Kettle, who were both a pleasure to deal with. They were professional, friendly and provided an extremely efficient service, for excellent value.

So I have used Jackamans over the years for my will, conveyance and most recently the sale of my business. Last year I was not impressed with a conveyance matter the process was extremely slow and both my neighbour and his solicitor were calling me to say why is my solicitor not acting to complete matters.
I have no legal skills and rely on this firm but when I called and emailed I had no reply or felt brushed off. Only when I stated my intention to find another firm did something happen. With COVID pandemic I just let it go but in truth people can work from home?
This summer I tried to sell my firm using the Diss office. Had a quote all ok, sadly it collapsed as the buyer said my solicitor was too slow. I had a price for the work done and happy to pay but the Invoice received was well above the quoted sum. When I probed for more details the time sheet has price increases not agreed and time well beyond the pause instruction.
To settle the bill I followed the complaint procedure, the Director in truth offered no apology and had little interest in my concerns. I heard nothing for a month so emailed my solicitor and the director and said as a past loyal customer the dispute is only several hundred lets split the difference and move forward with later custom.
This offer was blanked. The firm has no interest in the customer or dealing with any concerns. Despite a quote the Invoice you receive will not match this its a black hole and highly unprofessional in my view.

I was recommended on the basis that they were cheap, and they were brilliant.
This was a house purchase so to say "I couldn't have done it without them" is meaningless as legally I couldn't have, but with frank advice and a bit of handholding we've gone through the whole process with virtually no stress.
Could, and was encouraged to, call anytime and I really appreciated that.

Anita Sharpe represented me during my divorce. Very poor representation. Did not make anything clear. Did not seem to be familiar with simple terms commonly used in divorce such as; chattels. Allowed the ‘other side’ to completely wipe the floor with me. I was inexperienced and she was supposed to be on my side, at many times it felt like she was actually aiding the opposition. Reluctant to write or respond to communication/questions. Best avoided.
