I phoned Thompson today to put in a personal injury claim for an accident at work. A lovely lady called Jessica went through everything with me. She was very professional but full of empathy aswell. She made me feel calm and relaxed in what is a very stressful experience to deal with. I have used Thompsons on a number of occasions and every time I have found them to be very diligent. This latest case was quite complicated but they handled it very methodically and what’s more, took the time to guide me through it step by step.

I was told they would take on our personal injury case, only to have 6 different advisors deal with it, until eventually, they turned the case down, after 18months of time wasted, it was a case of an 80 year old lady, who in fairness doesn't have time to waste.

After we were in a head on collision me and my 3 year old submitted personal injury claims. Nearly 3 years later my 6 year old still has not had his claim settled! Despite my claim being settled 2 years ago the solicitors just don't push anything. They are awful. They dont reply to emails or voicemails. I cannot recommend this firm, especially the Sheffield office! I get the use ofThompsons solicitors via an insurance policy so I've used them before. The money I've saved on their fees isn't worth the hassle. I've cancelled my insurance and in the future will just accept that solicitors take their fees! At the earliest opportunity all they want is to settle and close your file! They won't go in to battle to get what you deserve!!!

Using my former works union solicitors, I was allocated a solicitor from Thompsons. From the start Simon D offered great communication but also a listening ear to what the claim was about. He took a lot of details, often going over my words to ensure accurate notes. He advised of the procedure. He was excellent throughout. There were a few times when I had to chase and nudge a little, but this is common in long drawn-out matters. He supported me throughout the 6+ year claim and i am grateful for his help and support. He secured me a relatively good payout and ensured that i received all paperwork that would help my tricky situation.
