Slow, poor communication and vaguely insulting
- I was advised that the purchase of a flat would take 3 months, but through RLE it took over 8 months
- Very difficult to get ahold of. Multiple voicemails unanswered. I eventually made an appointment for a phone call consultation with them but it wasn't honoured. Even the seller's solicitor couldn't get ahold of them.
- Kept telling me I had done everything I needed to do and then changing their mind and asking me for more paperwork which kept pushing back the completion day.
- My initial mortgage offer expired because RLE was so slow.
- I had to find a printer as I was sent documents through an email and, when I asked them to post them to me as I did not own a printer, they said they would and then never did.
- Even after I bought the leasehold for the flat, the solicitors did not update the freeholder owners of the building which meant that the previous owner was charged for the ground rent. When they refused to pay and sent them my way, I was close to having to pay an extra charge for late payment.
Overall - shockingly poor and very emotionally draining.
The only ray of light was when Bernice and Natalie took over my case in the last month. Natalie in particular was very patient and I finally felt like somebody was willing to help me.
