An absolutely faultless service

I highly recommend Bird & Co - I would absolutely use them again in future and wouldn't hesitate in passing on their details to others.

Responsive, on-the-ball, efficient...just everything you'd want from a solicitor when going through the stress of a property purchase.

Having used a different conveyancer in Mansfield for a previous property purchase, the difference this time around with Bird & Co was night and day. I'd honestly give them more than 5 stars if I could! I had a good feeling about them from my initial enquiry, where their admin team were prompt and professional with their fees transparent and reasonably priced.

I was assigned to Sebastian Thorpe's team in Grantham. They ensured the process ran incredibly smoothly, enabling me to complete my property purchase in around 6 weeks, thanks to their diligence and hard work throughout.

Lacklustre

Very poor cross examination, posed very few questions to witnesses
I would have been better relying on the court solicitor which would have saved me money.

Nottingham branch

Used the Nottingham branch of Bird & Co. They failed to act on all of my requests then blamed me for failing to notice. They were also unaware I was buying a share of freehold property so they almost made me complete forms to sign a leasehold flat - luckily we realised beforehand! Service was a bit sloppy

Excellent experience, brilliant service, best solicitors!

We are extremely pleased with our experience using Bird & Co Solicitors for purchasing our first home. The process was made easy and done professionally. Team Chard dealt with the conveyance swiftly and efficiently - Sophie, Hannah and Grace were friendly and well-organized at every stage, keeping us updated all the time and happy to answer emails almost straightaway.
We also loved InTouch portal where we could see the progress and always know what part of the sales stage we were in. All my colleagues were amazed that I didn't have to call the solicitor's office even once to find out what's going on as I was able to check it online all the time.
Thank you Team Chard, we are very grateful it was such a positive, stress-free process.
We won't hesitate to use their service again and highly recommend using Bird & Co to anyone buying or selling property!

Unbelievable Service!

On Monday 18th January 2021, I was in the process of reviewing the mirror wills that my wife and I made in 2003. I noticed that there were no signatures on the back page of each will. When I searched Google, with regard to the company that had taken our wills the internet lit up. The company had been disbanded and a number of directors had been imprisoned for fraud. Apart from the now-folded company, the only other detail was this firm of Solicitors. Late afternoon I spoke to Melodie Rockliffe and she promised to help. I expected nothing and feared that I had also been a victim of the charlatan will makers. On Wednesday morning I received confirmation that Bird & Co had both of our wills, I received scanned copies for peace of mind, and they will honor the lifetime storage agreement I originally made. All resolved within two days. I do not believe this was the outcome for a number of the other victims. Thank you Melodie.

Reassuring Conveyancing!

I chose Bird and Co Newark as they were competitively priced and from the first communication laid out the whole conveyancing process in a clear and understandable way.
Hannah Wall whom I had the most dealings with was extremely helpful and always returned calls or queries through the whole stressful process! Very near to completion a few issues raised and I was grateful to have such a thorough solicitor who investigated all queries on my behalf. I would definitely recommend Bird and Co.
Considering I had a fixed fee I was extremely impressed with the service from Daniel and his team and the amount of time given. Thank you

Horrible experience

I used Bird and Co as conveyancer buying a house. I had to chase them to get them to proceed at every step of the process.

They made many errors that we had to spot ourselves.

They blamed the other side of the transaction for errors they made.

I have no confidence in the work they did and deeply regret using them.

Excellent House Conveyancing

Hannah in the conveyancing team was excellent. They sold my previous property and helped me buy my new house. They were always keeping me updated on the progress of the sale. They were particularly helpful when the sellers solicitors were moving slowly and our deadline to move was approaching. They also found information that was not disclosed by the seller on a property that enabled us to make an informed decision on whether to continue with the sale. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell.
