One star is too much. I can't quite decide what the balance of apathy and incompetence should be as it changes every time I call. The person dealing with my case was always 'on the phone / tied up / on annual leave'. Even their out-of-office replies have spelling mistakes. Avoid.

Core Legal through the efficient services of Sally Hare were excellent throughout a rather stressful process, due entirely to the snails pace of the buyers solicitors.
Everything was dealt with in a very professional and outstanding manner.

I've previously experienced issues with solicitors when selling a house, however I am delighted to say Core Legal have been fantastic.
The whole process was made simple and hassle free by Zoe and the team at the Stockton office.
The sale went through quickly and the paperwork was dealt with efficiently, needing minimal effort from me for completion. I would highly recommend.

Zoe Walker was amazing throughout our sale of our house and purchase of our new home despite us changing which one we were buying two months into the process. Sale of property around 10 weeks from offer to competition. Katherine was very useful throughout with regular updates and an online system that would let you know when documents were sent of and what stage the process was at etc. highly recommend Katherine

Katherine Webb was assigned as my solicitor for the purchasing of my new house. Katherine is super friendly and professional. When we spoke on the phone, and to an extent communicated over email, Katherine made me feel so much better about the process and its progress. This was my first house purchase so was extremely anxious about how it was supposed to go. Katherine is highly knowledgeable, has excellent communication skills and has the patience of a saint! We were under a lot of pressure by the seller to meet a tight deadline (Labour's budget), I felt that Katherine was taking the pressure off from me whilst also doing everything possible to ensure the deadline was met (even though we had no legal obligation to meet said deadline). I couldn't of asked for a better solicitor, I absolutely 100% would recommend using Core Legal and will absolutely use them again for any other legal matters in the future.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I’ve now used Core legal twice, first time they were very good so decided to use them again when buying. Well they were appalling. Losing paperwork, saying they hadn’t received paperwork when I had sent it recorded and signed for. Having to ask them 2,3 and 4 times for things. Constantly chasing them. What should taken a couple of months was dragged out a lot longer than needed.

Great experience with Core legal when buying our first home recently. We had Tiffany, who was very responsive. I called the main office a few times too with different queries and always had a really helpful response. They were cheaper than some of our friends are currently paying other firms too. Would definitely recommend!
