Although I knew this was the right thing to do for my son, I also felt that Ed Duff totally believed in what he was fighting for was the best outcome for Ronan

Appeal against local authority decisions re SEND

Professional and efficient service from Mark Glen supporting our appeal against the LAs decision to place our disabled child in a school unable to meet needs. With the advice and input from Mr Glen at HCB we won the appeal and were given a suitable specialist school placement. The EHCP was improved to accurately reflect needs and provide appropriate support and education.

EHCP Appeal & Tribunal

We are incredibly grateful to Ed Duff, Mark Glen and the team at HCB Solicitors for their exceptional support and expertise in securing a successful outcome for our child’s EHCP Tribunal. We contacted Ed through a word-of-mouth-recommendation after the shock of finding out the support the Local Authority considered our child needed, or was prepared to provide, was far below his actual needs. From the very beginning, their team demonstrated a deep understanding of the complexities involved in the process and provided clear, compassionate guidance every step of the way. Their dedication and professionalism were evident in their meticulous preparation and strategic approach. They advised on and provided excellent recommendations with respect to the expert evidence required, and prepared the documentation to put before the Tribunal. This ultimately led to a positive resolution. Ed and Mark were always available to answer our questions and alleviate our concerns, making a stressful situation much more manageable. Their commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for our child was truly remarkable. We highly recommend them to any parent navigating the EHCP process. Their expertise and unwavering support can make all the difference. Additionally, their empathetic approach and genuine care for our family’s well-being were truly heartwarming and reassuring.

EHCP Tribunal

Nathan was recommended to me due to his unrivalled success rate and expertise. I was not disappointed.
His passion and commitment to getting the right result for my son was unwavering. I felt supported every step through what was a new and daunting process for me, with consultation at every step and sound advice.
The tribunal experience, as scary as it was for me, was made easier by the preparation Nathan did beforehand and the continual contact throughout.
We won.
I would (and have already have) recommend his services to anyone.

Conveyancing with HCB Widdows Mason - thank you

Me and my husband are really happy with our solicitors at HCB Widdows Mason Ltd. in Cardiff. They helped us through a lengthy and pretty stressful house sale and purchase. They were efficient, knowledgeable and clear-sighted, but I am most grateful for those reassuring phone calls. I felt I got to know them well, which made everything easier.

University Dispute resolution

I contacted HCB as it was listed as being expert in educational disputes and matters. Our son whilst at University was involved in was a victim of a violent attack, that resulted in him reporting it and then becoming involved in disciplinary a disciplinary process. We contacted the team for help and were given the details of Rob Slade and his executive Maria. They were amazing. We were on a tight timeline and Maria organised time in diaries quickly. Rob picked up the matter straight away and was very efficient and effective. he helped us with the Appeal document. This was successful he also advised us in dealing with the follow up as parents, rather than legally and how to manage the University disciplinary process overall. Excellent advise from Rob and great communications from both him and Maria, would highly recommend.
