Doubled my Bill from the initial quote and held documents to ransom..

I initially went to Pomphreys as they had dealt with multiple house transactions for me and my family and they were seen as a safe pair of hands..

How wrong could we have been.

We agreed on a price for some documentation following my father death and they were listed on the .gov website as being able to carry out this service. As it goes I now know that they had never done it before and were making it up as they went along resulting in delay's.

I received a bill for the agreed amount and then a few days later another bill for the same service but almost double the amount. I took it up with them but they were not interested and just stone walled me with that they felt the new invoice represented a "fair value" given the "additional work". The only additional work was that they didn't have a clue about the process and messed it up, this was not on me!! They would then not release the documents till the new amount was paid in full!!

I will no longer use Pomphreys for anything and I will make sure that none of my family or friends do either. They were our go to for property purchases and advice but no more!!

Very bad service

I don’t feel like they ware on my side. I felt discriminated ,everything was rushed and I felt like second class citizen . Conversation was always very loud and on left my stressed and on edge. I was very disappointed with service. I needed help not more stress in this situation. I would not recommend this company and especially Sarah Lynch .
