White Glove Service

I recently had the pleasure of working with Caroline Vernon for the sale of property and then purchase of our new one with Claire Levy. Their white glove service was truly exceptional. From the very beginning, both Caroline and Claire demonstrated a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. They guided me through every step of the process, ensuring that all my questions were answered promptly and thoroughly.

Caroline's expertise in handling the legal intricacies of selling the home was impressive. She made sure that all the paperwork was in order and that we were well-informed about each stage. Claire, on the other hand, was instrumental in securing the new property.

Together, Caroline and Claire made what could have been a stressful experience into a smooth and seamless transition. I am incredibly grateful for their hard work and the team behind the scenes would highly recommend their services to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.

A shambles - go elsewhere if doing probate.

My mother had a Will - so a simple case. They changed our lawyer when the first one left without telling us. This led to a significant delay in the probate due the absence of the original lawyer for at least one month ( no explanation there at the time) . The handover was duplicated and we spent money on this due to their poor communication. We were told someone helping was a lawyer when they were not.they had no recollection of the paperwork file I had handed in and had to search for it. I complained to Nicole who was in charge who said she would get back to me but she she never bothered. When they did answer once they were very disrespectful and took no responsibility at all and didn’t say sorry.
The team doing the exchange on the house showed them up as they were efficient.

Thank you Helen for your review, and we are sorry that your experience with the firm has not been a positive one. We acknowledge that the solicitor handling your matter left the firm’s employment part-way through, and while we have no control over this, we accept that this should have been communicated to you in advance, and that you should have been informed of the new fee earner. This has, as we said in our subsequent discussions with you, been fed back to the team and training will be put in place to ensure that when staff leave, there is a comprehensive handover and communication with clients to ensure that they are kept informed and their expectations managed with regard to ongoing handling of their matter and timescales. Where there was a slight delay, we accept that we should have managed this better by ensuring that you were made fully aware of the likely timescales, and by providing updates on steps being taken. We are at the mercy of third parties where we deal with matters such as yours, but this does not remove our obligation to keep you informed. In relation to the duplication of any costs, this had been reviewed and where there was any duplication, this was accounted for to you and a credit applied. This was an error, but we are satisfied that this was corrected at the material time. While Mrs Marmor was not the fee earner with conduct of your matter, she sought to address your concerns very promptly and apologised that you had needed to contact us on this. She also acknowledged the above points and apologised for these, agreeing to liaise with the fee earner for an early resolution. We appreciate that you did not hear further from her on her final email but this is because it was passed to the fee earner with conduct who then responded to you to conclude your matter. You have very fairly acknowledged that he was very responsive to you. Where we have acknowledged service issues, please note that this is not typical of our service to clients and we take your review, and concerns, very seriously and as subsequently discussed with you, we are taking proactive action to learn from this.

Sherrards dealt with our house purchase and from the start there was very good communication and all handled superbly even during the pandemic.
