After many years buying and selling property, this was the first conveyancing solicitor I have not enjoyed working with. His service was patchy - I mostly dealt with his assistant - the only thing he dealt with proactively was his bill. There were a number of inaccuracies which, ironically, included his bill and completion statement. This then cost me more money and inconvenience as my accountant had already calculated my capital gains tax.

Mathew was amazing in helping me sell my business.
I felt totally overwhelmed as it was just me selling to a large corporate company.
The amount of detail required was enormous and my technical skills arnt great. Mathew guided me through every step of the way. He never made me feel I was being difficult ( or !!!) He always explained everything in detail and made me feel very safe knowing he was guiding me through the process.
It all took much longer than we ever envisaged and there a few stumbling blocks along the way. He always had great empathy and went above and beyond anything I could have expected.
I have since used him in starting up another business and honestly cant recommend him and his team highly enough.
It was very refreshing in this day and age to be able to talk to him in person- he always returned calls promptly and kept me informed every step of the way.

I have been working as executor to a late relative’s estate. Beverley Randall was my key contact at Ellis Jones and I cannot speak highly enough of the service she provided and the way she offered support and guidance through what was for me a complicated and demanding set of circumstances.
Beverley’s understanding of the nuances of law were excellent, understandably so; what was equally impressive was her patience, diligence, empathy and advice. I could not have wished for a better and more able solicitor to guide me through this process.
I would not hesitate to recommend Beverley and Ellis Jones to any friends, relatives or colleagues. Five stars is not really enough.
