At the start, it seemed ok - however on a Friday afternoon, a week in to sorting ID and paperwork out, I was told they could no longer help me, due to legislation that did not affect my sale.

I received a fast, efficient, and professional service from a friendly and experienced team of auction conveyancing solicitors and paralegals at WSP. They provided advice on the process and their offer pre and post the auction. Were agile and adaptable in their approach, smoothly getting my auction purchase completed within the tight timescales the property auction house required, kept me informed throughout and with no hidden fees!

I cannot thank WSP enough for their support and professionalism. Though every step of the way they have been helpful, empathetic, profession and so fast with their responses and the quality of their work is incredible. Amara has been nothing short of a god send and cannot recommend her enough for both advice, representing me both in and out of court and being completely transparent with the reality of my situation, she is just amazing! A special mention to Stacey also who has given guidance and pointed me into the direction of WSP to begin with, would be totally lost! I also attended an event put on by WSP to gain information regarding financial abuse, was £10 a ticket and the best £10 I have spent. As a firm in general the team give you 100%, make you feel at total ease and support you every step of the way. Huge thank you to Amara, Stacey and the team!

WSP Solicitors was established following the merger of three local firms that had been providing legal advice in Gloucestershire for more than two centuries: Winterbothams, A E Smith & Son and Penleys. Indeed, Penleys LLP was one of the oldest legal firms in the South West, having been established in Dursley by John Vizard in 1758. Family member William Vizard even acted for Queen Caroline when George IV tried to divorce her. Our heritage is important to us; one of our present solicitors is the great-grandson of Reginald Herbert Penley who retired from the firm in 1905. We still operate in the Cotswold towns of Stroud and Dursley. We also have a city office in the centre of Gloucester to allow us to support even more people across the county. Today, we pride ourselves on using our uncomplicated approach to help people from all walks of life with their personal and business legal affairs. Our ethos of making life less complicated applies to everything we do – including our fees. We’ll always be honest and upfront about our legal costs and give you a fixed estimate before we act on your behalf. We’ll provide regular fee updates and never incur additional charges without your authority. And if your transaction goes particularly smoothly (and less time is spent on it than we initially envisaged) we’ll even lower your bill. What could be simpler than that?
