I was forced to be homeless
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Gorvins. Everything started off well, but after my initial case manager left, the service became a nightmare. Communication was non-existent—my emails and phone calls were repeatedly ignored, even by Kerry, the team leader had no interest whatsoever. She would not even respond to my complaint.
Exchange and completion were meant to happen on the same day, but at the last minute, I was told it wouldn’t go ahead because certain additional documents were required (according to other solicitors this should have been known in advance). This left me in an incredibly difficult position, essentially homeless for about a month unless I wanted the entire property chain to collapse. Both my removal company and estate agents were shocked at how terrible Gorvins was at handling the entire case.
It wasn’t until my seller’s solicitors threatened to pull out completely that they finally got their act together and completed the process. By then, their incompetence had already cost me thousands of pounds in additional expenses and caused unnecessary stress.
There was absolutely no consideration for my situation or the financial and emotional toll they caused. This firm lacks professionalism, communication, and basic respect for their clients. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid them if they want a smooth and stress-free transaction.
