After poor experience with other solicitors on the previous application, I ignored the old adage that a person who represents himself has a fool for a client, and gathered the required documents and made the online application myself. Very poorly, as it happened, which may well have resulted in outright rejection of the application and complications worse that losing over £2,000 worth of fees.
From the outset, Mr. Green was extremely proactive in steps needed to recover the situation, even though we were all operating within the confines of COVID-19. Mr. Green brought immense legal experience to bear on the situation, and key documents were rewritten to ensure absolute compliance in a positive way. Each and every submission was vetted for consistency, with even the tiniest discrepancies spotted. There was obviously quite a lot of research on the part of our solicitors, to determine how COVID-19 had impacted the process, especially with Sopra Steria being out of commission. So we were helped immensely with the changes to scanning and submitting the documentation.
Some might see the work to be done by ourselves as being a little too fastidious, as we did initially, but as the process trundled on (HMVI impacted by COVID), it was obvious that there was good reason for everything.
Eventually, a Spouse Visa that expired in June was renewed in October. With lockdowns, and electronic contact, that was an immense achievement.
For somebody in the Cheshire / Staffordshire area (or maybe further afield), the services offered cannot be more highly recommended. Basically, Mr. Green took a broken situation and mended it. He too an anxious pair of applicants and gave them peace of mind. He made sense out of a confused application process, and was alert to every slight opportunity to enhance chances of success.
