Our neighbour laid claim to a section of our front garden after we had erected a fence within our plot, set back from the boundary. The fence was purely a physical barrier to keep our dog in and was placed where it was to avoid disturbing an existing hedge. Our property is semi-detached with our neighbour and, despite the new fence clearly being nowhere near the boundary of the two properties (the party wall line), our neighbour refused to relinquish the piece of our garden they had colonised up to our fence.

Our solicitor Sarah calmly, efficiently and professionally guided us through to a successful outcome to this dispute. With Sarah’s help we spent a couple of years trying to resolve the issue amicably, but when this failed we had no option but to take our neighbour to court. This action was successful with the judge finding fully in our favour.

Sarah Payne from Barr Ellison quickly brought clarity to what felt like quite a complicated residential leasehold matter. She provided excellent advice, drafted letters and documents promptly and accurately and was courteous and professional at all times. Sarah was superb in answering my many questions and she offered additional help, as required, whilst keeping within her initial estimate of cost.
I have used Barr Ellison previously for a lease extension and I can continue to recommend them very highly.

Is the most unprofessional person I’ve ever come across, he doesn’t answer emails or phone calls , when he does email he says he will get back to you by a certain date? He never does , I end up chasing him to futher be ignored.
He’s a liability to deal with and will cost you time, money and effort not needed if he was had any professional approach let alone was customer focused , customer centred and even courteous word
Don’t use Barr Ellison then will cost you time and Money

I am appalled that you have taken money from my sale yet seven days afterwards no bill. I must say throughout my sale I have lots of concerns and it now now seems on a single sale at £550000 you have charged me 3750. Had no bill you just took it. I am going to report you to the Law Society.
