Amazing service
I honestly don't know where to start with, I've had the best experience I could ask for with Platinum Solicitors (Solicitor Aisha Khan, and Legal Assistant Angie Shingleton).
Background, I had signed up with another solicitor and paid £400 up front, I found that I had to keep chasing up for updates (I'm not a chaser, I don't want to initiate emails, I want my solicitor to keep me informed, I'm busy with life, if I'm paying £££ then I want a quality service). When that property fell through, I decided to close my record with that solicitor and find another.
The first thing I asked Platinum Solicitors was "Will you keep me up to date, or will I need to chase up for updates", they said we'll keep you informed, and they've never disappointed me. Throughout the several months, I knew what was happening and was aware of everything from our side. They respond instantly to my questions. Sometimes I'd get an update on Sunday evening (out of hours) from Solicitor Aisha, and I feel bad for anyone having to work late hours on weekends, but they've exceeded my expectations (I'm not encouraging it, but I acknowledge that she's gone above and beyond timely despite the fact she is already timely).
Both Solicitor Aisha and LG Angie are professional in their communication, the emails are very clear, I never felt an email was vague or that I was questioning my understanding, this applies to documentation they've shared about my property (searches and all). I found it quite mind-blowing how they kept on top of all the paperwork that was required, they must have some form of a document management system because everything was perfect.
Throughout, I had full confidence that they knew what they were doing, things happened so quickly and well-tracked that you knew they had a great process in place and understood the conveyancing process. I appreciate the prompt response when I felt one of the sellers in the chain was a timewaster, it quickly resolved and he agreed to move out. I thought with that chain that I'd hit 2025 before I bought the house, but here we are a week into living the dream in my little palace sipping on the tea I was gifted by the pre-homeowner (bless her lovely soul too).
I also had difficulty with my bank not letting me pull my money out in one go, and I appreciate their understanding.
Platinum Solicitors are also transparent with their charges, you'll get a list of everything where your money went. The previous solicitor that I escaped from just kept my money without issuing an invoice of where my money went since no searches were even issued, and barely a month had passed when the sale fell through.
Overall, Platinum Solicitors are extremely efficient, and timely; the process kept moving until we couldn't move it any further, thanks to the timewaster we had on the chain. Solicitor Aisha followed up with me to make sure everything was OK after I moved in, and thankfully everything was in order.
I would never use anyone else, I'm quite difficult to please as well. This is what I think every solicitor firm should be. Worth every penny.
