Excellent conveyancing

We looked online and found that the practice had many positive reviews on other platforms, but stumbled on this. I do not believe that this is a fair assessment of their conveyancing services. They do not offer any of the other traditional legal services which may frustrate some.

Avoid at all cost

I am writing to give an opinion of recent experience of your company and I expect your management team should seriously look into the matter.

Being referred by my friend Chris in HK, I enquired appointing your company as legal representative for a property transaction, fast response at the beginning to send a quote, but when we asked details like Stamp Duty required (because your quote is different from I expected), your staff Mr David Woodward told us to find online stamp duty calculator ourselves!! (???) and then he told us to find someone else because they are too busy (what?)

We planned to appoint someone who is professional and act on client’s behalf in legal perspective. And I asked a simple question which is in the scope of your expertise, I was being told to find out the answer online. Then what is the point of appointing legal representative if we need to find out everything by google? I was planning to appointing your company to assist in the case but I’m glad that I didn’t.

Unbelievable experience and I hope the senior management of your company can read this message and respond accordingly.

Also, as David said your company is too busy at the moment and cannot answer our question, I’ll propably help you to spread my words to my friends and network who are buying properties not to bother your company.

If your company would like to investigate and review the case, please contact me via email and I shall send the whole chain of correspondence over for your perusal.

Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere

I don't even know where to begin, we went through about 5 different contacts over the course of 4-5 months. Our report contained basic errors such as "this house is not supplied with water" followed by "the water supplier for this house is Thames Water", not receiving updated documentation after pointing out these glaring errors and in general just difficulty in communicating with the solicitors with the office partner responding to one particular email "we've sent 5 emails this morning and it isn't productive"... Not what you want from your solicitors when they've made a massive error.

We only received our contract from them the day before we were due to exchange (must have skipped their mind...) and endless issues in trying to actually enforce the fitting and fixture list.

I could go on and on, but it's frankly not worth the effort and I cannot wait to never have to see the name "Harrisons Solicitors" ever again.

Bottom line: Don't waste your time or money on these cowboys.

Incompetent and unprofessional

Used for conveyancing. Failed to act on instruction to sell resulting in last-minute panic and a nearly lost sale. Refused to take any calls from the buyers solicitor. Apparently the boss went on holiday and nobody else there could finish a simple conveyancing !
