Worst free legal remortgage service

Had this free legal service from Natwest. The company never communicates anything in the process, regardless it is completion date or early repayment fees. I was told of a completion date in less than 24h and found out i were to pay about 3k early repayment fee. Had to rush to the bank to stop the transaction. Then was offered another completion date. But the day before the completion, when i called them, they said there was no agreed completion date. Ending up getting a missed payment notice from my previous lender. And Aberdein Considine blamed everything on me!

Follow up - go to the Legal Ombudsman for redress

After posting my original review, I made an official complaint to Aberdein Considine. They refused to accept any blame. Barely bothered to be civil and wouldn't even identify their Complaints Officer. I went to the Legal Ombudsman. This service is free for the end user. Aberdein Considine had to pay £400 for the investigation and then spend time and effort on it. The Legal Ombudsman found in my favour and felt I was owed £250. Great! I said (I had asked Aberdein Considine for less than £100 as compensation). No, Aberdein Considine said. So it went to a higher level at the Ombudsman, who agreed with the first decision. So I got more than I had even asked for, Aberdein Considine had to waste time and energy and possibly had their Public Indemnity Insurance affected, all for refusing to pay me a small sum and apologize. These people don't care about the customer. Don't just write a poor review, take them to the Ombudsman if you feel they've not communicated with you, they've delayed your matter, or if they haven't acted upon your instructions. It's the only way to make them change their systems and their behaviour. They are absolutely shocking.

As an aside, the Legal Ombudsman was fantastic. Impartial and thorough.
