One of the most approachable and professional people I have ever had the good fortune to deal with and a true credit to his profession.

Not the expected situation but thereafter explained
I left a review following my experience with Lyons Bowe expressing displeasure at the service - notably the speed of the process and the difficulty with which to get hold of solictors working at the firm.
I have since had a reply to confirm that our case was completed within an average amount of time.
Further, the managing director of the firm took time to review my case and share his findings with me. Though there were frustrations at finding it hard to get responses from some of the solicitors on our case, the delays had been caused due to our buyer’s solictors.
Having the details explained to me was appreciated, and I can see now that this was not at the fault of Lyons Bowe.
I appreciated the response from Paul Lyons and the time he took to review the case and explain this to me in more detail.

I would never recommend you to anyone
As a first time buyer I would’ve liked more support through this process. I also would’ve expected for the fairly large chunk of money that the members of your team dealing with my account would actually be able to be reached. As a first homebuyer, it also would’ve been nice for things to be explained in English And documents to be written so it was clear and simple to understand, even the breakdown of the fees to yourselves were convoluted and confusing. We used you as a recommendation from our estate agents and I do regret going with yourselves I furthermore will be passing on my feelings to the estate agent and suggesting them not to suggest yourselves to 1st homebuyers.

Not enough clear information
I found some of the requirements of myself as a customer were very late in the proceedings and if I’d been made aware earlier could have sped up the whole process, also there seemed to be a lack of communication between the two offices.

Selling Property
This was the worst experience we have had selling a property. We have sold a few with other estate agents.
We were passed over to every department through the sell, which I do understand. It would have been nice to have one main contact. We were told that there would be continuity if any staff member was sick or holiday, this was not the case. The process stopped and was picked up when staff member back. They must have a lot of graduates coming through, which I do understand they need to learn, the issue was it seemed we had a fresh graduate at every stage so with there lack of experience this really slowed the process down.
We originally had a previous buyer for our property, which we eventually pulled out off, We presumed it was the buyer dragging his feet.
After going through the agonizing process again with next buyer, we soon realized it was the solicitors.
I honestly say it was a stressful experience and one I would not want anyone to go through, also with the drawn out process, we lost literally thousands of pounds and with 3 young kids, that’s not great. I am a person who always sees the good in people and situations. I am not pinpointing one person, it was there whole business setup and ethos, very disappointed. In this situation I would not recommend them at all. Stay well away.

Efficient and helpful
Sometimes information wasn’t passed through from one team to another and the change in selling price didn’t get updated but otherwise the process was clear and efficient and responses to queries were dealt with quickly.
Having recently dealt with another sale for a deceased relative using a different online system, I would like to have been able to review documents that had already been uploaded. If that was possible, I didn’t manage to work out how to do it. It seemed as if once you had completed a section, there was no going back. It would also have helped to know at the beginning that each team would only deal with one part of the process and then the client would be passed on to another lawyer. However, I might have missed that in all the information sent but the pathway could have been clearer.
All that having been said, I was confident that the conveyancing was in good hands and I was sent information that I should have had when I purchased the property!
I would certainly recommend Lyons Bowe to others for conveyancing and your prices are competitive.
