Best solicitors out there
I've relied on Chris Furbey for the best part of a decade, during which he has overseen multiple property transactions on my behalf. He is efficient, highly responsive, and always on the ball. I couldn't imagine using another solicitor!

Third time using Chris Furbey as my solicitor 5*
This is my third time using Chris as my conveyancing solicitor and wouldn't trust anyone else. We've never met in person (so don't be put off if you're not local). Chris is very responsive by email and you can contact him direct. 100% would recommend to friends and family and I won't use anyone else in the future.

Rapid service and excellent communication
We were recommended Chris from a friend who had used the firm and we could not be happier with the service we received. Chris was extremely responsive and replied to emails/ queries immediately. He also explained things to us clearly and provided regular updates. We were expecting twins at the time and emphasised the need to move as quickly as possible which Chris responded to by progressing both the sale and purchase as soon as he could. We couldn’t recommend him more.

House sale
Chris was extremely efficient, friendly and always provided quick responses to any queries raised by ourselves or the buyers solicitors. He helped make the whole process run smoothly and was value for money. Would definitely use again and would recommend.

Excellent Professional Service
I originally contacted 8 firms to get an idea of costs and procedure to purchase the Freehold of my property from and investment fund so knew it was pretty straightforward and probably not worth the time for some of these firms but was gobsmacked when 2 downright refused as they said it wasn't worth their time and only another called back but wanted a lot more to do so. Whilst all the others were local to North Manchester, Clifford's is in South Manchester. The lady who called me back was both polite and professional, taking my down my details and promised a return call that afternoon by a Partner. Chris Furbey called me back and was both polite and professional and although a simple task to him, treated me like any other client and answered my questions promptly.
He always answered my emails within a couple of hours and updated me by both telephone and email right up until day of completion. They are the only firm that I will consider in future as there may be cheaper out there but I found their costs to be reasonable, transparent and the service as it should be - professional and excellent.

First time buyer
Couldn't recommend Chris enough! The process had some bumps, but as a first time buyer who has little experience of solicitors/conveyancing I couldn't have had a better experience. Chris' communication was exceptional, he would respond quickly (direct), call me to explain things through and keep me up-to-date with correspondence with the seller's solicitor. I would highly recommend this firm who made a stressful process as smooth as possible.

Super efficient and professional
Chris Furbey was recommended for conveyancing by a friend whose mother had recently used his services. She couldn't speak highly enough of him and now we understand why. Our sale and purchase took from January to December 2024 to progress and complete, and Chris's communication throughout was outstanding. He provided very clear guidance as to what was required at each stage of the process, what his remit was and what falls to other parties in the process (for example, a surveyor). He turned things around so quickly and efficiently, and was always responsive when we called or emailed him. When Chris is on annual leave, he has a locum solicitor which means that things can still progress in his absence. At the latter stages of the sale/purchase when it became clear that our chain of five was complex and delays meant that our mortgage offer may expire, Chris's tenacity to chase down the other solicitors in the chain, get everyone talking to each other and apply the right amount of pressure was integral to the sale/purchase completing. Having Chris in our corner meant that we were able to spend Christmas in our new home. We could not thank Chris enough and would highly recommend his conveyancing services.

Excellent solicitor!
I chose Clifford Johnston because I wanted a local solicitor to act on the sale of a property.
Chris Furbey was allocated to our sale and I have been totally impressed by his professionalism. He replies immediately to any email queries and is very approachable and genuine in person.
The sale we tasked him with was particularly difficult but he never flinched.

Excellent service
Chris was excellent throughout the process of selling my mum's house. He was efficient and professional and always available to answer questions.
