I would definitely recommend Stephens Wilmot . Natalie our conveyancing solicitor went above and beyond what we expected . It was a very difficult time with a lot of obstacles thrown in our way , but Natalie dealt with everything in a very professional way .

Great communication
I initially engaged Stephens Wilmot to handle my property transaction, and they were always friendly and professional throughout the process. Unfortunately, after progressing quite far, they realised they couldn’t represent me due to issues with the mortgage lender I was using. While they promptly informed me and were very apologetic, I feel this should have been identified at the start when I provided all the necessary paperwork, including details of my mortgage provider.
This oversight led to some inconvenience, as I had to find another solicitor to take over without being charged for the searches that had already been conducted. Despite this, I appreciated their communication and the way they handled the situation once the error was realised. It’s a shame they couldn’t represent me fully, as they seemed very helpful otherwise.

awful communication
Chose the services of purchasing and selling properties of Stephens Wilmot through a comparing website. It is a nightmare. Natalie never addresses our enquiries. She sent all the enquires from the conveyancing firm of other sides to you and ask you answer which actually is her duty to get the answer thro land search or other ways. When you ask her if we really need to answer, she just ignored the email. She never gives update to the progress unless you ask her. But everytime the answer is they are reviewing the documents. You never know how long still needed to go. It took extremely long times of six months of purchasing a property with no mortgage and selling a nearly new build property. Every parties, including the conveyancing firms of other sides, the agents, are chasing her but she is good in playing the blaming games. Never recommend this company

We are really sorry that you feel disappointed with the outcome of your matter. However, we would point out that 6 months is the average timescale for a sale and purchase in a chain. It is also worth noting that freeholds with communal land and a management company and new builds are complex, with lots of paper work and documentation to review and by their very nature they will take longer than a straightforward freehold matter. We also cannot control the enquiries raised by the other side on your sale. Solicitors regulations require that we take your instructions on the enquiries and we cannot tell you how to answer these. This is because we have no personal knowledge of the property and would need your instructions. We will therefore always need to request your responses and we will then report those to the Buyer's Solicitors along with the Communal Areas Management Pack which is something which again takes time to obtain. Sadly, it is impossible to give an accurate timeline of when you will reach completion in a chain as you are ready when everyone is ready and has dealt with all enquiries throughout the chain. We cannot say when that will occur. There are many variables and parties involved. We will always attempt to manage expectations and let you know what is happening but often it will be a case that parties are reviewing documentation and we await them to come back to us. That would then be the only update we could give to you. I hope this assists in clarifying matters and we wish you all the best in your new home.

Excellent Support from Natalie
I used Stephens Wilmot for a recent sale and purchase and Natalie was excellent throughout. Natalie replied straight away to my questions and always had time for my questions and did her utmost to ensure things went smoothly and this really helped with the progress of both transactions.
I would highly recommend the firm and Natalie and Sarah Davies who also assisted with this matter.

Excellent company
Stephens Wilmot have been absolutely brilliant in the sale of our property. It turned out to be much longer and more complicated than we ever could have expected and the whole way through Natalie was amazing. We can't thank them enough, even if she was out of the office there was always someone who could give us an update. Communication was excellent and we were kept updated throughout. Would 100% recommend and use again.

Best service I’ve ever received from a Solicitor
Could not recommend Natalie enough. I have purchased 4 houses over the years and it has never gone as smoothly as with Natalie. She replies straight away, always had time for my questions. Was polite, kind, understanding, helpful and provided the best service I’ve ever received from a solicitor. For what can sometimes be quite stressful Natalie made the process easy.
Natalie is amazing at her job and to top it off provides fantastic client support

Sale of mums house
I was very pleasantly pleased with the ease in which the sale of my mum's house went through. Natalie and Sarah answered any questions I had very quickly and kept me updated at every step in an efficient and professional manner which also felt personal. I was so impressed that I have now instructed Natalie again for the sale of another house.
