After choosing Backhouse as my solicitors as a first time buyer the only word I could use is outstanding. Both Catie and Chelsea whom were my main support, have been outstanding every step of the of the process being patient whist providing guidance and clarity as someone going through purchasing a property for the first time! This standard has also been kept when speaking with all other members of Backhouse for other items. Would highly recommend to others and 100% will refer back to Backhouse for any future solicitor needs.

Helpful service
Catie and Chelsea were both so helpful, particularly towards the end of the sale process when there was some issues with the beginning of our chain. We received quick replies to all our emails and very useful advice over the phone. We also felt reassured that everything was dealt with very promptly behind the scenes.

Straightforward and professional conveyancing
We have just completed on our late parents’ house sale in Chelmsford. As we don’t live locally we used Backhouse on the recommendation of our estate agents. We were dealt with by Catie Edwards, who is at work early and works late. It may not be good for her work/life balance (!) but it meant that the process was speedy for us, particularly during the pandemic, when procedures such as searches were slow anyway. Their quote was fair, and they stuck to it. Emails were promptly answered and we were kept in the loop.
We would recommend this company highly for conveyancing.
