Jonathan initially studied a degree in Philosophy and enjoyed a career after university in the public sector including roles at the Home Office, the General Social Care Council and the National College for School Leadership. His desire to work with people and to have a positive impact on their lives then led to a change of direction in his career.
Between 2006 and 2008 Jonathan studied the Graduate Diploma in Law before joining Family Law Group in December 2008 as a paralegal. The following year he took a break from working to complete the Legal Practice Course and returned to Family Law Group in July 2010. Jonathan completed his training contract with the firm and qualified as a Solicitor in March 2012.
Jonathan became a member of Resolution showing his commitment to the constructive resolution of family disputes. Initially he undertook work in all areas of family law and now focuses on resolving the issues arising from the breakdown of relationships, including the finances and arrangements for children. He is also an accredited member of the Law Society's Advanced Family Panel specialising in private law children and domestic violence.
Jonathan became a Senior Associate of Family Law Group in 2017. In 2016 he was featured by ‘VouchedFor’ in the Sunday Times as one of the top 175 solicitors in England and was later awarded a Certificate of Excellence due to the positive reviews he received.
Jonathan is committed to achieving excellence in his role and providing pragmatic and child focused advice to his clients. He has an interest in alternative dispute resolution so that matters can be dealt with outside of Court and is currently training to be a mediator.
