I joined Higgs in December 2022 as a Partner in the Serious Injury Team. Prior to this, I was at Simpson Millar/Colemans-ctts for over 23 years where I successfully headed up the RTA Department from 2008. I am a solicitor with over 20 years’ experience of dealing with serious injuries which have resulted in life changing injuries. As I deal with clients who have suffered traumatic experience and life changing injuries, I develop a strong bond with them. I strongly believe in early rehabilitation and treatment to get my clients on the road to recovery. My expertise is in high value, catastrophic, life changing injuries and in particular complex orthopaedic injuries, spinal injury, fatalities, amputations and brain injury and have frequently secured multi-million pound settlements. I am a past chair and I am currently vice chair and a Director of the Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS). I am concerned with protecting and maintaining the interests of people injured in road collisions and I fight to ensure access to justice. I am regularly asked to consult with the Ministry of Justice and other stakeholders on procedural and legislative changes which impact on those injured in road collisions. Through my work with MASS, I have attended regular meetings with the Justice Secretary, MPs and civil servants. In addition, I have written a number of publications and lectured at a number of conferences, on the radio and I have also been a judge at a number of Personal injury awards ceremonies.

RTA Injury Claim
I was involved in a serious car accident. Simon and his team were introduced to us through the hospital. Following an initial visit at our home Simon and his team secured assistance for Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psycotherapy, Driver Rehabilitation whilst also pursuing the financial compensation route, all this was done with a calm methodical friendly approach. Professionalism at its best.
My 16 year old son was in a car accident. His case was taken care of by Simon Stanfield and it could not have been smoother. From the first phonecall I felt sure that we were in good hands. Excellent Service
Placed a motor accident compensation claim with Higgs.
They secured a payment which was double the first offer from the insurers and was in line with my expectations. Their fees were extremely reasonable. I am delighted with the outcome.

Very professional, very impressed.
Unfortunately my bike accident left me a bit worse for wear. These guys come recommended from a friend and I have to say they have been golden. Simon took over my case and quickly turned it around to be an easy stress free run. Initially I didn’t think they’d be able to do anything for me but they soon changed my mind. I am happy with my settlement and extremely happy with the communication from Simon throughout. Always advised and never pushed to get best results. These guys come highly recommended.

RTA Passenger
After Being Involved in a RTA and ending up in Coventry University Hospital with my left arm broken in three places the Hospital arranged Simon Stanfield from Higgs to manage my Insurance Claim.
Simon was very helpful in arranging everything for me opening communications with after care , physio, psychological and home help after my 3 months in hospital
I would highly recommend Simon and the team at Higgs to anyone finding themselves in need of support they helped sort my compensation,benefits I am entitled to and give good advice.

Motorcycle accident on 22/12/2022
My experience was really good got a lot of help and future support of my solicitor and how well I’m currently doing now
Gave me loads of things to think on in future on how things will affect me and try to move past it and I’m currently doing okay with it
