Phillip joined Lanyon Bowdler in September 2017 from Hinchliffes Solicitors in Malvern, a specialist personal injury firm where he had worked since qualifying as a solicitor in 2004. He was promoted to associate solicitor in September 2020, then in October 2022 became a partner in the firm. He is based in the Hereford office and lives in nearby Ledbury. Phillip has experience of all types of accident claims, including road traffic accidents and accidents at work. He has particular expertise in representing lorry drivers who had been involved in accidents, not only while driving but also during loading and unloading, often as a result of faulty or inadequate work equipment. He recently recovered in excess of £100,000 at a joint settlement meeting, a matter of weeks before a trial was due to take place, for a lorry driver who had developed back pain as a result of faulty seats within the HGVs he had driven for his employer. Phillip has a Law degree from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, is a Member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel and a Senior Litigator Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. When not working, Phillip enjoys playing and watching sport, and spending time with his young family.
