I am a senior associate in the residential property department. I have almost 20 years’ experience of the law and in particular residential property and landlord and tenant law. I have valued longstanding clients worldwide, nationally and of course locally.
What is your experience and qualifications?
I qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx) in 2009. I have two particular areas of law in Landlord & Tenant and also Equity Release and in particular pre-Financial Services Act Full or Partial Home Reversions with Lease for Life arrangements. I have specialised in this area for 20 years.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The pace of conveyancing. It can be frenetic so we must keep up with and embrace change and technology to deliver a secure sale or purchase with the highest levels of client service and effective communication. Client expectations have also changed but putting them at the heart of our business has not and that is the difference between us and some of our competitors.
What makes you tick?
If my clients tell me I’ve done a great job then there is no better reward or motivation. House moving is rightly described as the most expensive and stressful undertaking people can make and clients must feel that they are in safe hands and part of the larger Blanchards Bailey family of legal experts.

Highly recommended!
Mark Taylor did my flat lease extension for me, he is so knowledgeable and very generous with his time. He gave me really helpful and clear answers to my questions, which was really reassuring as I wasn't really sure of what I was even asking! Mark managed to decipher my questions and help me to feel confident about the best way forward. He kept me well informed throughout the process and offers a personal and friendly service that is at the highest level.

Liofetime Mortgage
We dealt with Mark Taylor for a Mortgage . It was our first dealings with the firm and I had emailed various companies to see if they could represent us and the price. Mark got back to me straight away and gave me a fixed price , unlike others .
His handling of the matter was professional but friendly explaining things in simple terms , despite his having a weeks holiday there were no holdups .

Support during Divorce Settlement
The support/service I received was effective, timely and entirely suited to what I was trying to achieve. I was appraised of the situation throughout and my queries were answered immediately. I was not overcharged and the pricing was fair. I cannot fault the service in anyway.

Excellent help with conveyancing

Land Registry Change
A great team at Blanchards Bailey, with Mark Taylor dealing with my request.
I required title deeds to be ammended, and after looking online, noticed it to be a bit too complicated.
Mark was more than happy to help, and the process was extremely streamlined and completed within the week!
