Leona had a successful career in IT before she decided to study for a law degree with the Open University for fun. She achieved a 1st class honours degree in law and hasn’t looked back. She studied for her Legal Practice Certificate and obtained a master’s degree in law whilst working part-time as a PA in a law firm and was given a training contract on qualifying. A fully accredited member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Leona joined Walker Foster as Associate Solicitor in June 2024 and is based in our Northallerton office. Specialising in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Deputyship Applications, Probate and Trust and Estate Administration, Leona offers a kind and friendly service to help clients through some of life’s most challenging times. When she isn’t working Leona enjoys learning French, family tree research and having tea and buns with friends.

Excellent service
Leona Walker assisted me in making out a POA for my mother under difficult and upsetting circumstances. She took the time to sit and talk to me offering both advice and compassion. I could not have asked for more and would highly recommend. Very professional.
