Very impressed with the handling of our purchase by Rachel Kirkley and her assistant Francesca. Made the process as smooth as it could be and we felt she was always working in our interest. It was nice to actually be able to speak to a solicitor!

Efficient solicitors and easy to contact.
We didn’t need to have much to do with the solicitors but that is because they were so efficient at moving the house sale forwards and chasing everyone up for us already. I would highly recommend them and is the second time they have been fab for us.

The firm did well I believe with what was a difficult sale of property. Communication by phone or email was generally good and the solicitors to whom I was assigned were knowledgeable and friendly. Although the sale was a particularly protracted one this was not the fault of JM Lewis; the only blip was a handover from Rebekah to Rachel where things went quiet for a bit and there seemed to be some communication breakdown for a week or so.

Never again
I was provided with a trainee at the start without being advised or knowing if they were being shadowed by someone more experienced (I’m still unsure to this day). Said person made multiple mistakes, advised us paperwork were being sent and then not posting them and being led up the garden path with an unrealistic completion date
Incorrect information that was given to my buyers lender by their solicitor was noticed by a different solicitor firm and could’ve been resolved a lot sooner if attention to detail was paid
After being discounted a small amount for the mistakes and inconvenience I were then overcharged by £500+ on my invoice which I had to raise and then be reimbursed
