Caseworker

I am a Senior Caseworker at Duncan Lewis Solicitors having joined the firm in December 2022. I am based in the firm's Luton office where I work under the direct supervision and guidance of Solicitor, Arouje Khan and Director and Solicitor, Satvir Sahota. Previously, I also worked in the Housing department but specialised in Asylum and Immigration. Prior to joining Duncan Lewis Solicitors, I undertook a wide scope of privately funded matters which included family and private life applications made from outside and inside the UK, such as Spouse and Fiancé applications, Visit Visa applications, Adult Dependents and leave to remain applications made from within the UK including all Further Leave to Remain applications, Fee Waiver applications, Domestic Abuse applications, Settlement Applications and Nationality applications concerning registration for both children and adults along with working on Tier 2 Skilled Work applications. Further, I also undertook work challenging in-country and out-of-country decisions in the courts including First Tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal, Court of Appeal as well as The Supreme Court along with Admin Reviews and Judicial Reviews. I currently focus on Legal Aid matters including assisting clients with their Asylum claims, Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery cases as well as clients who are in Detention and need assistance with their Bail Applications. Fluent in English and Urdu/Hindi (Urdu- speaking, reading and writing) and able to assist clients in these languages.
