I am a Trainee Solicitor at the firm and joined in September 2021. I am currently in the Residential Conveyancing department, which is my 4th training seat. Experience I have recently completed a four-year integrated Masters degree in Law, graduating with a first class honours. During my time at university, I developed my legal experience by working within a range of local law firms – from smaller high-street firms to larger commercial firms, across a variety of departments. I have also been awarded prizes for my academic performance, including The Faculty Pro Vice-Chancellor Award. Whilst at university, I worked within the Student Law Office, where I had my own clients and ran my own files whilst under the supervision of a practicing barrister. Working here provided me with first-hand experience of dealing with clients in a legal environment. What do you like about working at EMG? Everybody at EMG is so friendly and always has time to help. The overall feel of the firm is so welcoming and you definitely feel a part of the team from day one! The values of the firm are reflected throughout work life, and there is an emphasis on being happy whilst at work. Also, there are always plenty of social events to get involved with Outside of EMG? Outside of EMG, I spend most of my time with friends and family and love to travel whenever I get the opportunity. Most often, I am out and about walking with the dogs!
