Reliable
We have used Blackhurst Budd several times before and found them straight to the point. Very helpful and never puts you off. Will always tell you how it is. Cost wise they are middle of the road but never charge over the top.

Updating Will
Met Solicitor Suzanne Leonard with my daughter who was very approachable and explained everything with updating my Will. Questions we asked were explained fully which we appreciated. Very friendly appointment. Also Receptionists on arrival were very pleasant.

Our late Mother's Estate
When Mum died we thought it best to put dealing with her Will and Estate in the hands of a solicitor so that everything would be done quickly and correctly. Before she died our Mum was told by her Financial Advisor that her estate would be very straight forward on her death as there was no property to sell, just the shares and such like that she had. It has therefore been a great disappointment to the family that it took 12 months 1 week for Mum's Estate to be finalised. Communication throughout was very poor. As executors we were only contacted when something needed signing. We were never given an update of where things were up to at any time. The final insult was a letter implying that it was our fault that Mum's bank account was not closed when she died and that there would be overpayments by the pension providers. We had informed the bank immediately when Mum passed away and were told that the account could not be finally closed until Probate was granted, which happened in October 2022. Nevertheless it seems to us, who have no other information, that nothing was done about the bank account from October 2022 to February 2023. We were also advised Ms Leonard had been told that Mum's Financial Advisor did not deal with her private pensions, resulting in the overpayments. This is entirely incorrect. We had advised Ms Leonard who Mum's Financial Advisor was at the beginning and could have given her the exact person if anyone had bothered to ask. So I have rated our experience as 2 stars because the job eventually got done. However, overall this has been a very disappointing and expensive experience.

This is a great company
