John has over 10 years’ experience in family law, representing clients with a particular focus on divorce, high net worth financial matters ancillary to divorce, the preparation of both pre and post nuptial agreements and financial applications issued on behalf of children in cases which involve unmarried couples. He has experience of complex cases, often involving businesses, overseas assets, complicated pension or trust arrangements and inherited assets and also deals with cases where arrangements for the care of children are in issue, focusing on private Children Act Proceedings only. Throughout his career, John has developed a reputation for being commercial and proactive in his approach to cases. It is this reputation that has led to him being instructed by high profile business owners, sports and TV personalities and their spouses, property developers and professionals, including many from the legal community. John can quickly identify and focus on the central features to a case by cutting through the minutiae in Court proceedings, enabling him to adopt and implement the most cost-effective strategy for his clients and ensuring their cases are dealt with as amicably and expeditiously as possible. John is a highly focused, tenacious, and precise lawyer who will always fight for the best possible results for his clients. John is media savvy and works hard to build his reputation and that of the firm by writing articles for various publications, including Family Law Week, national newspapers and magazines. John is a director and active board member of the Liverpool Law Society; and is also dedicated to the development of future talent and pro bono work. He has combined these two passions by volunteering his time at the free legal advice centre in the University of Manchester. At the centre, John mentors students offering free initial advice to people who cannot afford the services of a lawyer but who desperately need legal advice.
