Private Company Share Sale
Emily Parkes checked a legal agreement in respect of a buy back of shares in a small company being sold and I was impressed by the efficiency of the team, the concise and timely information I received and the overall level of service was very good. I have been working with Higgs on pretty much all corporate matters for over a decade now. I am blessed that I get a team I have worked with for all that time (with a few ins and outs along the way) headed up by Jamie Partington. They know me, and I know them. Works really well. Advice is always spot on, but with a good blend of practical.

Excellent Support with our Small Acquisition
We have used Emily & team twice on acquisitions of <£500k. In spite of the relatively low value of these transactions, the Higgs team have been attentive and diligent, and always there when needed. Emily has been mindful of our requirements, given the nature of these deals, avoiding scope creep and keeping within our agreed cost budget. I would highly recommend Higgs for these types of transactions, and I'm sure they perform equally well on larger ones too.

Choice or No Choice
Fantastic experience Called Higgs office during the afternoon and by 8.30 pm Geoff called me, to get more information from us
From that point onwards, I felt confident that Geoff and his team were working for and with us
There were times when the business buyer were being difficult but during those periods, Geoff and Emily were excellent
It was helpful for us to have Geoff explain why the buyers' solicitors were taking positions, some reasonable and others pedantic.
Finally, having Geoff and team working beyond 11.45 pm on 7th September to enable completion was really appreciated
Higgs was recommended to me by a friend (CW)who I socialise with I thanked him last week when we were on holiday in our motorhomes in Dorset
I really enjoyed the discussions with Geoff and his team, the meetings were purposeful , precise but not rushed and action points were acted on promptly
This sale was emotional for us as we were selling a business that we had set up and worked in for 15 years , we had made many good friends and employed some great staff too , so it was more that just selling the business that we had to cope with Geoff kept us 'grounded' and kept us sane, well almost .
