Came through in the end but generally a bit disappointing
We were highly recommended Praddow Mackay from someone who had used them before. We were disappointed that we didn't have the same positive experience.
The process s of providing source of funds was laboursome, which was expected, but things we thought had been signed off were requested again last minute. I think dealing with giftors could be done better as ours often felt under immense pressure to get documents together ASAP (any only later told they had time) and to get them perfect. Things they thought they had dealt with, again, were brought up again later down the line.
Personally, I think this process would benefit from a shared list of documentation which both parties can access and see when it's need if it's been uploaded and when it's been signed off.
The communication was OK, although when our case was handed over to Bimpe this was not communicated with ourselves, the estate agent or our Moneybox liaison person.
The last week very stressful as we waited for the compliance team to sign off the file which seemed to take ages with little communication. This was not Bimpe's fault and she did everything she could to get us to complete on the expected day. Having no justification from the compliance team was frustrating. We ended up completing and exchanging on the same day which seemed unnecessary seeing as there were only two parties involved.
Perhaps all conveyancing experiences are similar but as first time buyers and having been highly recommended this firm, we were disappointed.

Overall a good experience
Although we felt the need to email or phone on several occasions in order to get up-dates on the process, our sale was handled professionally overall. E-mails were, however, responded to promptly and calls were always picked up or returned the same day. Overall a not unpleasant experience. We will use them again.
