Tim Baker has extensive experience working within criminal law, both for the defence and the prosecution. As a defence lawyer, Tim regularly represents clients who are interviewed under caution for a wide variety of offences, including serious sexual offences, fraud and homicide. Tim is an accomplished advocate, having spent many years conducting his own trials in the Magistrates Court.
Tim was also formerly employed by the Crown Prosecution Service as a Senior Crown Prosecutor in the Thames Valley Crown Court team. His responsibilities included reviewing case files, providing legal advice and analysing and preparing serious cases for trial in the Crown Court. One of Tim’s key responsibilities was to provide pre-charge advice to the police. This involved analysing whether there was sufficient evidence to charge suspects with particular offences. This makes Tim especially adept at drafting pre-charge representations on behalf of his clients.
In Tim’s last role, he held a senior position within a criminal defence firm who specialise in representing high-net worth individuals and celebrities. During his time there Tim refined his skills in drafting pre-charge representations on behalf of clients, largely for sexual offences. Tim also handled cases of serious violence, domestic abuse and serious fraud.
Tim is extremely personable and builds a strong rapport with his clients, many of whom he has kept in touch with after the conclusion of their cases.

Outstanding service leading to a positive outcome
From the start of the case to the end, Jericho Law was outstanding in providing their services from start to finish. Through a 18 month long complex process, Tim was consistently professional, communicative and supportive in all aspects regarding my case.
This included chasing for updates and updating me as soon as possible. This proactive approach helped alter a bail condition that significantly impacted my daily life. Tim was always available during this stressful time and always responded to my queries providing clarity at every stage. Tim was able to understand my specific circumstances and was relentless in following up with the police. He is a solicitor who genuinely cares about his clients and was always there to provide me with reassurance.

Excellent and fantastic support
My wife and contacted Tim Baker the day after a very difficult allegation was made against me from our very first meeting with Tim he came across very professional and competent to deal with the situation I was in, so much so I decided to appoint Tim within that meeting. Mr Tim Baker was friendly and approachable. He was easy to talk to and explained things well. He actually predicted what would happen with my case. He was quick to respond to queires and continually followed up the police officer to try to find out what was happening. I have never been in this stressful position before and it was supportive to have such an excellent and trustworthy advocate. I would always recommend him.

Exemplary Service from Tim Baker
I cannot speak too highly of Tim Baker.
The first time I spoke to him, he instilled confidence and I felt so much better just after that one phone call. It was so reassuring knowing that there was someone out there who understood the problem from a legal point of view, was familiar with the processes involved and knew what was required to resolve the situation.
Tim is knowledgeable and professional and kept us informed of every development. In addition he was always there on the end of the phone to answer questions and give an informed opinion on any new developments.

Outstanding support & advice
It’s a nightmare for any parent when your child is falsely accused of assault. When the police contacted us to arrange an interview, we immediately contacted Tim who took control of the situation and guided our child through the horrible experience of being questioned by the police.
Tim helped our child through an incredibly difficult and upsetting time which resulted in the case being dropped. Tim’s communication with us was excellent throughout and his determination to seek closure from the police was superb.
Our child’s world was turned upside down through these false allegations and Tim brought swift closure and peace of mind.
We hope you never have a situation like this, but if you have the misfortune to have an issue of this nature, we would thoroughly recommend you retain Tim’s support.
