I began my career in insolvency on qualification as a solicitor in 1990 at the Birmingham office of a large regional law firm. I later practiced in the East Midlands office of the same firm. I sat and passed the JIEB examinations in 1997 and have held an insolvency licence since 1998, although I am now a non-appointment taker. In 2001 I spent a year in a business support role advising successful and unsuccessful businesses nationally before establishing my own firm in 2002 which was acquired by Higgs LLP in 2024.
